Frothy Chai Tea

This dairy-free, frothy Chai Tea Latte is the perfect alternative to one of my (Ella’s) favorite Starbucks drinks! I personally love the creaminess of oat milk, but any plant-based milk works as a delicious substitute if you don’t want to use regular milk.  It’s my go-to comfort drink, especially on cold or rainy days.  The recipe calls for very few ingredients, and if you already have a milk frother at home, this will take less than 10 minutes!

Directions:

Pour oat milk into frother (we use the Redmond frother) and heat.  Heat up a cup of oat milk in a saucepan on medium-high until it steams.  Pour warm milk into a mug and add two bags of chai tea.  Let tea bags steep for a few minutes.  Add a few drops of liquid Stevia.  Add frothy oat milk to mug and top with cinnamon powder, or try vanilla powder or cocoa powder.  The Redmond frother keeps the milk hot on a heated base.  You can also use a handheld frother right in the pan.
